Review: Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Eidos Interactive is lagging behind some of their competitors as their previous release bombed. The Deus Ex Franchise has dished out another game, Human Revolution. This game revolves around four points of gameplay; combat, social, stealth and hacking. It is up to you to choose your favorite and you will have to follow different paths to achieve success in each stage.

The game is set in the year 2050 in an age of chaos, chemical warfare, DNA testing, and conspiracies. You get to play as agent Adam Jensen, a security specialist working for a private company which manufactures nanotechnological instruments and weapons. The firm comes under attack from brutal forces and it is up to Adam to take care of them and uncover the plot behind it all.

This latest version of the franchise is hopeful of appealing to the next generation players who are using the best of consoles for playing these games.

The visuals are intense with mind-blowing action sequences and a tight gripping storyline ensures that you get addicted to this game instantly. The trailers were promising enough to generate the much needed hype. It is better if you get to know the previous version before playing this as some of the tricks and nuances can be learnt from the former. It is basically a first person shooter, the gameplay which a majority are looking in games these days. Frontal assault is considered the best option confronting ground enemies. You can even customize your weapons to suit particular stages; an added feature which was missed in the earlier version.

Many choose the conspiracy elements for gameplay as it provides a rich and in-depth analysis of the whole story. The first half of the game is focused on the story whereas the latter part is full of explosive action. The game is poised to be released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
