I have always enjoyed computer games and there are many different kinds that I like to play. Bearing this is mind; I have just played on a new release that is like nothing else I have ever seen. It is called ‘The Path’.

If you are familiar with any of the ‘Silent Hill’ or ‘Resident Evil’ series then you will know that there are some pretty scary games out there. I have played on most of these (and thoroughly enjoyed them) but ‘The Path’ has got something more about it–

If you want blood and gore then this is not for you. However, if you enjoy being scared silly by something that plays games with your own imagination, then this is right up your street.

‘The Path’ is based on the story of Little Red Riding Hood. You become one of six sisters (The Red Girls) and are on your way to Grandmother’s House. Except that, in this game, you are encouraged to wander off into the trees–

Gameplay is a little unusual. You could say that in this game it is not the most important of factors– You will spend much of your time running around in a forest. Amongst the trees you will frequently come across strange items that you would never expect to find such as; a wheelchair, a red balloon and a working television set. If you think that all of this sounds a little surreal then you would be right. ‘Surreal’, ‘dark’ and ‘dreamlike’ are all very good words to describe ‘The Path’. This is less of a game and more of an experience.

If you ever watched ‘Twin Peaks’ and liked the idea of actually living in it then this is the closest that you will ever get.
